We're in Guaudalajara, 2nd largest city in Mexico, a medically oriented city. We're getting treatments from a wonderful Orthopedic Surgeon who is giving us shots. First he gives a combo of hyaluronic acid, colagen, ozone, and dmso. Then, if and when our system is ready, he gives us stem cell shots. My shoulder pain has decreased radically; Steve also feels enormous relief.

We're old friends with Regina Ochoa whose family was one of the original movers and shakers in Guadalajara. Her father was one of the founders of the country club - very wealthy until a year or two of drought when he lost a lot. Regina's family lived in a home next door to the country club. Every day her mother would tell Regina and her 5 sisters and 2 brothers to go over to the country club in the afternoon. Now there is a high rise where her home once stood. Lots of expensive high rises line the streets leading up to the club.

Maty still belongs to the club. After a certain age and so many years of belonging she is not charged any fee for belonging!

The club now is huge - packed with children getting lessons - some look like 4 years old walking around with tennis raquets! We saw maybe a 10 year old with a great, strong serve.

Indoor and outdoor pools, several gyms including one small one above the indoor pools so moms can work out while they watch their children get swim lessons. Beautiful plantings, lots of tennis courts, horses, stables, a ring where Maty, Regina's sister, learned to jump her horse 60 years ago. Golf course, of course, seen here from the main dining room. There was a men's only bar at the golf club for years. It still exists as "Men's Only", but the women golfers insisted and a separate room for them was installed a few years ago.
