Great Concert in the beautiful Opera house in Mazatlan.

We are so impressed with the music we enjoyed conducted by Gordon Campbell. There were students and professionals in this group. Some students studied at Tanglewood in summer courses and Berkelee School of Music. He's worked despite incredible difficulties with support. We're so happy to help a bit.

In another music venue we heard a captivating concert in which Gordon had a table with horns - ancient ones up to modern French horn. He and three other (very good) horn players gave us samples of each - from the conch shell and shofar, to the first metal horns which had only one note plus a hand placed inside the bell of the horn which the player would move to change pitch, to the modern French horn - plus the politics involved. The very skillful old horn players were disparaging of the valve horn players' tones. They played pieces from each period with the horn that was in use at that time.

Fresh Markets said HAPPY VALENTINES DAY in this display.
